A new chapter of cross-border collaboration is officially underway following the the first day of the 5th meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Interreg VI-A Latvia-Lithuania Programme 2021–2027. Gathering in Bauska on May 20, 2026, the Monitoring Committee approved the results of the 3rd Call for Proposals, discussed the future programming period 2028–2034, the next call for proposals in 2026, and was introduced with the Programme’s implementation status.
We are pleased to announce that 14 new projects have been approved by the MC allocating 10 537 733 EUR of EU funding (European Regional Development Fund) to support initiatives for climate change adaptation and the protection of nature, biodiversity, and green infrastructure across Latvia and Lithuania border regions.
The following 3rd Call for Proposals projects were approved:
LL-00329 Rewater, LL-00330 DARKBEE-NET, LL-00333 COASTCLEAN, LL-00335 Urban Meadows, LL-00336 UrbanMicroHabitats, LL-00341 CLEAR RIVER, LL-00344 BE PREPARED, LL-00346 SaveAnimals, LL-00349 FLOOD RESPONSE, LL-00353 SLUGAWAY, LL-00354 FLOOD-WISE, LL-00355 ProtectTrees4Nature, LL-00356 Fish Reconnect and LL-00358 ADAPTLake.
