A new, modern pontoon pier has been installed at the swimming area of the central pond of Snēpele for the convenience of local residents and visitors to the parish. This is already the second significant infrastructure improvement in the municipality under the “WaterWays” project. In 2025, a similar pontoon pier was also installed at Lake Vilgāle.
The new pier in Snēpele is 19.5 meters long, providing convenient and safe access to the water. To ensure that residents and tourists can fully enjoy recreation close to nature, two comfortable benches have been installed on the pier, while special ladders have been attached to enhance swimmers’ comfort and safety. The works were carried out by Pontoni.lv Ltd.
The improvements around the central pond in Snēpele do not end here. As part of this project, a new and functional changing cabin will soon be installed at the swimming area, providing additional comfort for all visitors.
