Administration of Pasvalys District Municipality has implemented one of the most important project activities – completed the construction of a wooden pedestrian bridge over the Mažupė River in the Joniškėlis Manor Park. There is no historical data about the authentic bridge in this place, so the new bridge was built according to modern standards. It is convenient for park visitors, and people with mobility disabilities can easily move along it. The bridge connected the two parts of the historic manor park – the French and the English. From now on, park guests will be able to easily reach any corner of the park and explore all the park spaces. The bridge will help implement the most important goals of the project “Know the Park in the Dark”. Other works currently underway are the installation of lighting for the park’s paths. The project will allow to complete the idea of renovating and implementing one of the largest parks in Lithuania, the Joniškėlis Manor Park, and will encourage the development of tourism in Pasvalys region.
