Would you like to learn from others who have found the solutions to cross-border obstacles similar to yours?
The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) and the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) invite to apply for the Border Regions Peer Exchange through the b-solutions initiative.
This initiative connects Interreg A programme stakeholders with b-solutions cases that address similar cross-border obstacles. This is a unique opportunity to discover innovative approaches, connect with peers facing similar cross-border challenges, and bring practical, transferable solutions back to your own territory.
The call is open to Interreg A stakeholders (project partners, national, regional and local administrations, universities and research centres, European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation (EGTCs) and Euroregions, development agencies and chambers of commerce, other organisations active in cross-border cooperation, and Interreg programme bodies).
Under this call, 100 visitors will be selected to take part in 10 peer-exchange visits, each lasting two to three days, to be held between November 2026 and January 2027. Each visit will be structured around an existing b-solutions case, illustrating how public authorities and other stakeholders have addressed administrative, legal or governance obstacles to cross-border cooperation.

Financial support of up to 750 EUR (lump sum) will be made available to the 50 highest-ranked applicants following the evaluation to help cover travel and accommodation costs.
Applications must be submitted by 7 September 2026, 17:00 CET. Selected visitors will be notified by the end of September 2026.
