On 20 May 2026, the ElderGuardian project’s planned activities continued at Klaipėda City Care Home (PP3), focusing on training care home personnel.
On May 20th, the Lead Partner performed training for the target personnel of Klaipėda City Care Home. They were introduced to various aspects of the fall detection system, starting from its deployment procedures and specifications and going to bad practices of deployment gathered from experimental activities in the previous period. The training-related activities were also designed to strengthen the overall knowledge of staff and non-medical personnel, develop practical skills in using the new sensor-based fall-detection system, obtain operational details and response information to monitor its operation, and respond appropriately to detected incidents. Particular attention was given to the effective integration of the technology into everyday care routines.
By building the professional capacity of all related care personnel, the ElderGuardian project is helping to create a safer care environment, reduce fall-related risks and improve the well-being and quality of life of older people in Lithuanian and Latvian care institutions.
