An international water tourism conference on the sustainable water tourism development in Latvia and Lithuania

On 22 January 2026, the International Water Tourism Conference “Blue Gold: Water Tourism as a Driver of Growth and a Bridge for Cooperation” will take place at Garden of Destiny (Likteņdārzs), Latvia. Organised by the Zemgale Planning Region, the conference will bring together water tourism professionals, entrepreneurs and public sector representatives from Latvia and Lithuania.

The event will focus on sustainable water tourism development, cross-border cooperation, innovation and the exchange of best practices. Participation is free of charge, with limited availability. The working languages will be Latvian and Lithuanian, with simultaneous interpretation provided.

The conference invites local tourism service providers to share experiences and discuss sustainable tourism, joint cross-border cooperation, and water tourist attractions for Latvia and Lithuania.
