ICEREG project Final Conference in Rīga

On 21 January 2026, the Final Conference for the project “Ice-jam flood risk management in Latvian and Lithuanian regions with respect to climate change” (ICEREG, LL-00136) will take place in Rīga, Latvia.

In the course of the event, the main results of the project will be presented to the wider public. These results include information with regard to:

• historical floods, and climate change impact on ice-jam flood risk in the future;
• conceptual model of the ice-jam flood formation;
• ice-jam flood hazard and flood risk maps developed for the pilot territories in Latvia and Lithuania;
• updates to the Early warnings system in Latvia and Lithuania;
• ice-jam flood risk reduction measures.

Information about related projects, SAFE RESPONSE and ICEWATCH, will be presented during the event.
