Moon Laboratory – New Opportunities for Education
At a time when artificial intelligence is becoming part of everyday life and science is rapidly reshaping the world, an important question arises: how do we inspire children and young people to engage with natural sciences today?
Are textbooks and theory still enough?
Or does the future of education require more exploration, experimentation, and real-life experience?
Within the “Green Stories” project, the Moon Laboratory is being developed — a new educational space in Aukštaitija National Park where nature, technology, scientific research, and experiential learning will come together.
We invite you to the event: “Moon Laboratory – New Opportunities for Education”
During the event, we will explore:
🔬 how science can become an experience;
🌱 how to engage students in natural sciences;
🚀 what practical educational activities in the future Moon Laboratory will look like;
🧪 how research, experiments, and STEAM activities can become an engaging form of learning.
Inga Norkūnienė will present the educational programmes being developed within the project and new opportunities for schools.
Dr. Povilas Šimonis, astrobiology researcher and one of the developers of the Moon Laboratory concept, will speak about the evolution of life, scientific research, and future scenarios for humanity.
