Opening of Ski Track and Last SnowPower project event in Visaginas (Lithuania)

On January 17, 2026, the opening of the cross-country ski track will take place in Visaginas, Lithuania, at Festivalio St. 7, within the project “Sustainable Cross-Border Cooperation for Winter Tourism Development” (SnowPower), implemented under the INTERREG VI-A Latvia–Lithuania Programme 2021–2027.

The event invites everyone to enjoy an active winter day outdoors, starting with participant registration and a welcome, followed by greeting speeches from municipal representatives and a joint warm-up. The main highlight of the program will be a recreational ski run, where participants can choose a distance of 2.5 km or 4 km, according to their preferences and fitness level.

The event will also include experience sharing and a friendly tea and snack break, providing an opportunity to connect, exchange impressions, and celebrate the development of winter tourism infrastructure in Visaginas. All winter sports enthusiasts are welcome to join and enjoy skiing in a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere.
