With the arrival of summer, another significant milestone of the project has been achieved with the completion of the lighting installation works in Joniškėlis Manor Park. All pedestrian paths are now illuminated, allowing visitors to enjoy the park safely and comfortably not only during daylight hours but also after dark. In addition, the manor house parterre and its central rose garden have been illuminated, further enhancing the park’s historic landscape. The newly installed lighting has been carefully selected to complement the character of the historic park.
The completed lighting infrastructure represents an important step towards achieving the objectives of the “Know the Park in the Dark” project. By the end of 2025, the construction of a wooden pedestrian bridge across the Mažupė River had also been completed, providing convenient access between the two historic sections of Joniškėlis Manor Park—the French-style and the English-style gardens. Visitors can now explore the entire park throughout the day and into the evening.
The implementation of the project contributes to the long-term restoration and revitalisation of Joniškėlis Manor Park, one of the largest historic manor parks in Lithuania. The completed investments are expected to improve the accessibility and attractiveness of the site while supporting the sustainable development of tourism in the region.
