Early music concert “In Amoroso Foco” in Bauska Castle and Raudondvaris Manor
On March 20th at 16:00 in Bauska Castle and on March 22th at 18:00 in Raudondvaris Manor an early music concert “In Amoroso Foco” will take place.

The aim of the project is to increase the number of tourists in Kaunas District and Bauska region during the autumn and winter seasons by creating artistic, educational and sports activities, with aspiration to attract visitors with different interests (cultural and active leisure enthusiasts (including youth), history and heritage lovers etc.). All foreseen activities are oriented to increase attractiveness of historic and cultural heritage of partner regions.
New common tourism route Raudondvaris-Bauska will be created to promote the cultural heritage of partners’ regions during the off season. It will be done through creation of thematic education “Baltic treasure”, during which participants will have opportunity to create handmade souvenirs based on the old crafts heritage of Kaunas district and Bauska region” (Raudondvaris manor) and “Artificial lighting in Renaissance castle”, learning about lightning elements used in renaissance and inviting to try activities, that historically was done in late evenings (Bauska castle); artistic programs “Night in Renaissance” and “Early music (15th – 17th” century) concert series” including performances in Raudondvaris manor and Bauska castle; purchase of necessary equipment (replicas of music instruments, renaissance lightings, ice rink, equipment for concerts); preparation of thematic exhibition “Artillery in 17th century” (Bauska castle) and organization of two “Castle day” festivals in autumn in Raudondvaris Manor. Various local artists and craftsmen will be invited to participate in creative workshops, seminars for project partners and residents of both regions, during which they will exchange experience about the tourism situation in both regions during the low season and will try to find solutions for existing challenges.

On March 20th at 16:00 in Bauska Castle and on March 22th at 18:00 in Raudondvaris Manor an early music concert “In Amoroso Foco” will take place.
On the 26th of February, 12:00, friendly match of Bavarian curling will take place in Raudondvaris Manor.
On the 18th of February at 17:00 in Raudondvaris Manor and on the 20th February at 16:00 in Bauska Castle early music concert “The King’s Flutes: Early Tudor Court Music ” will take place.
Back in December, during the last week before the big year celebrations at Raudondvaris Manor an international team of 15 performers from Latvia and Lithuania was working on the program presenting historical dances and costumes – A Night in the Renaissance.
The Early music concert series continues with the third performance “Music and poetry songs in art” held on January 22nd in Bauska Castle Museum and on January 23rd in Raudondvaris Manor.
In the last week before the big year celebrations, Raudondvaris manor not only features works by Renaissance composers performed with ancient musical instruments, but also preparations for an event presenting historical dances and costumes – the view involving the audience – “Night in the Renaissance”.
On the 15th December at 17:00 in Bauska Castle Museum and on 16th December at 18:00 in Raudondvaris Manor, we kindly invite you to enjoy the early music evening!
Sunday, Nov. 21, at 12:00 17th century music will be played in the Bauska Castle Museum by students of the JVLMA Department of Early Music and the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, as well as by JVLMA lecturers.
Seeking to promote unique culture and history traditions that are preserved in Kaunas and Bauska regions and to explore common similarities between intangible heritage, Raudondvaris Manor and Bauska Castle Museum will organize 7- day creative workshop.
This year on July 3-4, we kindly invite all to attend historic festival “Castle day” at Raudondvaris Manor. The festival will be thematic historic event representing culture heritage and spreading knowledge of European manors at regional, national and international level.
