Implemented Water Tourism opening events in Anykščiai, Gražutė regional parks, and Biržai district, project LL-00134 “Water tour”
At the beginning of June 2026, free water tourism season opening events were organized. Kayak trips took place on the following dates and routes:
- June 2, 2026 – on the Šventoji River in the Anykščiai area;
- June 5, 2026 – in Gražutė Regional Park along the route Luodis Lake – Luodykštis Lake – Šventoji River – Asavas Lake;
- June 12, 2026 – on the Nemunėlis River in Biržai District.
During the events, participants became acquainted with the natural heritage sites of the Anykščiai region, Gražutė Regional Park, and Biržai District, as well as with the infrastructure developed under the WaterTour project, including boundary markers, piers, multifunctional service stations, and recreational areas.
The newly created infrastructure will improve opportunities for water tourism and contribute to the promotion and development of local water tourism in Northern Lithuania.
We would like to thank everyone who participated in the events and contributed to the promotion of water tourism in Northern Lithuania.
