Mead Tasting with Roma Mačienė

,

While implementing the “Busy Bee” project, we had a unique opportunity to discover the secrets of the world’s oldest fermented beverage.

This was not just a simple tasting experience. It was a conversation about history, traditions, and the 20 years of experience, passion for the craft, and dedication to beekeeping shared by Romos Mačienės family farm, the heart and soul behind Saulės Midus.

We learned about the history of mead, asked questions that interested us, and, of course, searched for unique flavor notes while tasting different varieties of mead.

Have you ever tasted authentic traditional Lithuanian mead?
