The event was attended by representatives of the Augšdaugava Municipality Social Services Centre “Pīlādzis”, Kalupe Primary School, Group Homes Nīcgale, the Augšdaugava Municipality Kalupe Parish Library, the Kalupe Association, and VSAC “Latgale” branches.
The aim of the meeting was to introduce social work professionals to an integrated and creative methodology that can significantly enhance work with vulnerable target groups. Participants were introduced to the methodology, its practical application, and its effectiveness. They also had the opportunity to take part in hands-on creative activities.
During the practical sessions, participants engaged in beading, knotting, greeting card making using scrapbooking techniques, and working with foamiran. These activities demonstrated how creative methods can be effectively applied in social work with different target groups.
The meeting was intended for specialists working with various vulnerable groups. It was emphasized that the use of creative methodologies can significantly improve the quality of social services and contribute to more effective outcomes when working with clients. Participants were encouraged to share their feedback and experiences in order to further develop and improve the methodology.
The specialists left the meeting with new knowledge, positive emotions, and their own handmade crafts, which will serve both as inspiration and as practical examples for their future work with clients.
