Upcoming events in Latvia from LL-00134 WaterTour project. To highlight the unique character of the Daugava River in Jēkabpils Municipality, three public canoeing events have been scheduled for July 2026.
The first trip will take place on 19 July 2026, along the Subdrabkalns – Meņķa Mill route. This trip is especially suitable for beginners and families with children.
The second trip will take place on 25 July 2026, along the Daugmales Recreation Area – Jēkabpils route. It is also particularly suitable for beginners and families with children.
The third trip will take place on 26 July 2026, along the Jēkabpils – Zvejnieklīcis route. This trip is recommended for more experienced paddlers.
All events will begin at 11:00 a.m. The exact launch locations will be sent to all registered participants. Registration will close once the maximum number of participants has been reached. Registration forms are available on the “Sēlijas laivas” Facebook page and website.
Participants will be provided with all necessary canoeing equipment and will enjoy guided excursions led by experienced professionals. Shuttle transportation will be available for drivers.

All activities are funded by the European Union. Participants are responsible for bringing their own food and refreshments, arriving at the event on time, and a positive attitude.
