Public concerts and exhibitions in Molėtai within the “Together in Art” project

On 5–6 February 2026, Molėtai (Lithuania) hosted a warmly received public cultural event combining a concert and a visual arts exhibition. The activity brought together approximately 170 participants (students and teachers) and attracted around 200 audience members, creating a vibrant and engaging cultural experience for the local community.

The atmosphere throughout the event was particularly lively and inspiring – both performers and audience shared a strong sense of connection, creativity, and mutual appreciation, reflecting the core idea of the project.

Music programme

The concert programme featured performances by students of Molėtai Art School representing various musical disciplines. The programme included:

  • kanklės ensemble
  • piano students
  • violin ensemble
  • accordion ensemble
  • folk music group
  • choir and orchestra

The final part of the concert brought together selected ensembles in a joint performance, presenting newly prepared arrangements developed during project-related artistic work. The result was a cohesive and emotionally engaging musical programme that highlighted the skills and dedication of the young performers.

Visual arts exhibition

In parallel with the concert, a visual arts and craft exhibition was presented at the Molėtai Regional Museum. The exhibition showcased works created by students and art educators during project activities, demonstrating a wide range of techniques, ideas, and artistic approaches developed within the project framework.

Public engagement and dissemination

The event was open to the public and free of charge. It contributed to strengthening access to cultural education and increasing the visibility of project results in the local community.

The concert was recorded for dissemination purposes, and video materials will be published on the institution’s YouTube channel, ensuring wider outreach beyond the live audience.

Implementation

The activity was implemented by the Lead Partner Molėtai Art School. All organisational aspects, including venue arrangements, catering, and accommodation, were ensured locally, while the artistic programme was delivered by participating students and teachers.

Conclusion

The activity successfully combined live music performance and visual arts exhibition, resulting in a highly engaging cultural event that brought together performers and audience in a shared creative experience. It contributed to the project objectives of promoting cultural education, creativity, and community engagement through artistic cooperation.
