The creating of the integrated psychosocial and physical rehabilitation measures dealing with climate-related challenges towards better social inclusion of vulnerable groups in LAT-LIT area has started.
The Republican Hospital of Klaipėda successfully carried out public procurement procedures for installation works of the Elevator for the disabled patients and repair works of the room for the Halotherapy. The work has begun. The Contractor UAB “Rangova” is completing the elevator installation works. Soon, patients with disabilities will be able to access the Group physical therapy room without physical barriers. The Group physiotherapy works positively on patients, improves they socialization skills, reduces social isolation and enhances coping mechanisms, increase patients’ engagement and sustainable outcomes. The therapy creates a network that promotes growth and learning by enabling patients to receive and give support, and to share experiences from different points of view. UAB “Rangova” is also completing of repair works of the room for the Halotherapy. The Contractor UAB “Halomed” will begin the Halotherapy installation works. The Halotherapy room will be also adapted for the rehabilitation of disabled people with wheelchairs.
The renovation of two rooms of VSIA “Piejūras slimnīca” has been completed at the end of 2024, where Speech and Communication Therapy will be introduced, as well as furniture purchased for the implementation of therapies. The renovation work was carried out by SIA “Cortto”. For the further implementation of the project, VSIA “Piejūras slimnīca” has announced an open tender “Supply and installation of sensory equipment”, as a result of which it is planned to conclude a contract for the supply of sensory equipment, so that it will be possible to fully complete the equipment of the rooms and begin to introduce speech and communication therapy. As part of speech and communication therapy, an interactive therapy room will be created for children with autism and other neurological diseases, and a stress relief room for parents of children, patients and hospital staff.
St. Francis of Assisi monastery in Klaipeda services are dedicated to children (12-21 years) with special needs, their parents, health specialists, volunteers. The main goal is to help these children to acquire work skills, in order them to enter the labor market and avoid being rejected by society. St. Francis of Assisi monastery started implementation of Work Therapy infrastructure. The public procurement procedures have been completed and the contract for creation of Work Therapy infrastructure has been signed. The Contractor UAB “Baltic research statyba” has successfully started work.
