3rd Call is now open for project proposals

The Interreg VI-A Latvia-Lithuania Programme 2021-2027 (hereinafter – Programme) has launched its Third Call for Project Proposals (hereinafter – Third Call). As of today, 17 September 2025, applicants can submit their project applications through the Joint Electronic Monitoring System (JEMS). The Third Call will be closed at 17:00 on 19 January 2026 (EET).

Thematic Scope of the Third Call
The Programme welcomes project applications that align with the objectives of Priority 2 “Green, resilient and sustainable development”, which focuses on two Specific Objectives – 1) adaptation to climate change, and 2) protection of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure.

Project Budget
Programme is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The project budget consists of contributions from the ERDF and partners, with 80% funded by Programme co-financing and 20% by partners’ own funds. In total, 10,576 million EUR ERDF funding is available for the projects of Third Call. Maximal ERDF funding per project varies from 600 000 EUR to 1 000 000 EUR, depending on the number of project partners, whereas maximal total project budget is 750 000 EUR and 1 250 000 EUR, accordingly.

Project Duration
The maximum project duration is 24 months.

Programme Area
The Programme area includes Kurzeme, Latgale and Zemgale regions in Latvia and Klaipėda, Telšiai, Šiauliai, Panevėžys and Utena counties in Lithuania.

Project Partners
The eligible project partners must be registered legal entities that are national, regional or local public authorities, public equivalent bodies or non-governmental organisations (NGOs). Each project must involve at least one Latvian and one Lithuanian partner. One of the project partners must be appointed as the Lead Partner.

Support for Applicants
To help guide applicants in refining their ideas and support the development higher-quality applications, the Programme welcomes and highly recommends participating in seminars for applicants, which will take place in October-November 2025 in Latvia and Lithuania. It is planned to hold one seminar per country. The information on seminars will be announced soon.

As an additional measure, Programme offers consultations with aim to jointly discuss the project idea, ensure its relevance and alignment with thematic scope of the Third Call. At least one consultation with the Joint Secretariat is mandatory during the project application preparation stage.
