Virtual reality application development about Joniškėlis Manor Park

The old Joniškėlis Manor Park briefly came to life to tell the legend of the Black Rose. On June 30, in the afternoon, the sounds of the film crew, the voices of the director’s team and volunteer actors sounded in the park. A special 360-degree camera was used to film scenes for the virtual reality program, which will be created as a soft part of the project “Know the park in the dark”. The 3-minute program is being created to briefly introduce the visitor to the history of the manor, its inhabitants and, most importantly, to tell the tragic fate of the Gardener. This is one of the many dramatic legends of the park. With the help of virtual reality capabilities, an authentic view of the manor’s orangery will be restored. Based on the surviving images and drawings, we will see the orangery as it was many years ago, we will go inside to see green and flowering exotic plants. And finally, we will meet the Gardener who sacrificed his life to save the estate’s special flower – the Black Rose. Visitors to the Joniškėlis Manor Park will be able to watch the virtual reality program by wearing virtual reality glasses.
