Safe and Environmentally Friendly Water Recreation – New Animations and Infographics are Available

As part of the “WaterWays” project, educational animations and infographics have been created to promote safe and environmentally friendly water recreation. The materials are available in Latvian, Lithuanian and English, ensuring the information is accessible to a wide audience across the region.

The aim is to raise public awareness about the key safety principles to follow when spending time near or on the water, while also encouraging a responsible attitude towards nature.

What’s included in the new animations and infographics?

  • Key safety rules for swimming and using boats, SUP boards, or other watercraft;
  • Environmentally responsible habits – how to minimize your impact on nature and keep water bodies clean;
  • Practical tips and visual explanations to help you better prepare for water-based activities.

These visual materials are designed to be clear, engaging, and easy to understand – suitable for people of all ages, including children and young people.

Animations are available here.

We invite you to explore the animations and infographics and share the information to collectively create a safer and greener water recreation experience!

These videos and posters have been produced as part of the project No. LL-00011 “Development of the water routes network in Latvia and Lithuania by further expanding the cross-border tourism product www.riverways.eu” (WaterWays), which is co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Latvia–Lithuania Programme 2021–2027. Their contents are the sole responsibility of Kurzeme Planning Region and do not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union.
