On May 13-14, 2025, as part of the project “Hand in Hand” (LL-00024), social work specialists and youth workers from municipality and NGOs from Kretinga region visited Saldus and Kuldīga. Colleagues from Lithuania visited the structural units of the Saldus Municipal agency “Social Service” – the Multifunctional Center “Jumis”, the Day Care Center “Saulespuķe”, the Social House, as well as visited the Saldus and Brocēni Youth House, the Kuldīga Youth House and the Social Services Center “Tilts”.
The guests, visiting various types of social service institutions, discussed, looked for similarities and differences in social and youth policy. The experience exchange trip was useful for both guests and guest entrepreneurs. Our special pleasure is the homemade apple bread served to the guests during the coffee break. This is also one of the results of this project.
Thanks to everyone who participated in welcoming guests, preparing, showing, telling and discussing! We are looking forward to June, when we will go on an experience trip to Lithuania.
