Nereta tourism information point opening

On 5 June 2025, the second public festival within the Interreg VI-A Latvia–Lithuania Programme 2021-2027 project LL-00132 “Tourism Offer Development in the Selonia Region” (Weekend in Village) will take place in Nereta, Latvia.

The event will mark the opening of the new Tourism Information Point (TIP) in Nereta and will feature a Selonia craftsmen’s market and the presentation of initial project results. The festival aims to promote sustainable rural tourism, celebrate regional heritage, and engage local communities and visitors.

This event follows the successful tourism season opening festival held on 25 May in Staburags, which included musical performances, a crafts market, and participation from tourism stakeholders across the Selonia region.
