Developing youth skills and confidence through sea-based SUP training in Liepāja

From June 10 to 13, engaging educational and training activities took place in Liepāja for children with special educational needs and young people at risk of social exclusion from Daugavpils, Panevėžys, and Liepāja.
In total, 45 children and young people actively participated in a range of activities aimed at developing stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) skills, improving swimming abilities, enhancing overall physical fitness, and fostering cooperation.
The four intensive yet inspiring days were dedicated to supporting the development of both motor skills and emotional resilience in an active, safe, and inclusive environment. Participants took part in both theoretical and practical sessions on land and in the water using SUP boards. During the camp, they learned to paddle, acquired basic swimming techniques, and engaged in beach sports games. The training sessions were led by experienced coaches from the “SUP School Liepāja” association.
