A five-day adventure

In the village of Vinetu, 20 young people from Saldus and 20 from Kretinge took part in a variety of activities, including kayaking on the river, staying in wigwams, embarking on meditative sound and dream journeys, practicing archery, preparing traditional Indian food, lighting campfires, joining drum rituals, and most importantly, building friendships.

The fresh air, the chance to fish in the camp’s pond, the diverse program, and the uplifting atmosphere helped everyone unwind for the week while enjoying restful, peaceful nights.

Despite language differences or preconceptions, the young participants bonded easily, engaging not only in the planned activities but also organizing their own, such as playing volleyball and having conversations.

A key takeaway was how naturally the new generation fosters inclusivity and acceptance, without needing to overly emphasize it.
