On 5 Septemper 2025 Panevėžys opened a modern rowing base on the banks of the Nevėžis river – one of the key milestones of the Rowing4Confidence project. The facility is equipped with kayaks, adaptive equipment, and a safe launch area. It will serve as a hub for training sessions and rowing lessons, further strengthening the city’s sports infrastructure and community life.
The festive opening was highlighted by the international regatta SENVAGĖ 2025, which brought together around one hundred project participants. Children with special needs and children from foster care homes, together with their coaches, demonstrated rowing and SUP skills acquired during joint training camps and practical activities in Lithuania and Latvia. On this occasion, Panevėžys sports centre, the Sports administration of Liepāja city council, and Daugavpils sports school signed a cooperation memorandum. The partners committed to continuing inclusive sports initiatives by organizing free seasonal rowing practices, sharing expertise, holding annual joint events or study visits, and actively engaging local communities and coaches.
Rowing4Confidence continues to deliver lasting results. From developing modern sports infrastructure to fostering cross-border partnerships, the project is creating new opportunities for growth, inclusion, and stronger communities through sport.
