Results of Consultation of Stakeholders and Citizens in June 2024

From the end of May to the end of June 2024, the Managing Authority invited both stakeholders and citizens to share their thoughts about Interreg post 2027 through a consultation process.

Responses were received from 93 stakeholders — including local and regional authorities from Latvia and Lithuania, NGOs, small businesses, and community groups in the programme area. Most of the feedback came through two online surveys: one held from late May to the end of June 2024, and another during a special event called ICDay in Riga in September 2024. At the ICDay event, participants got to join a fun and engaging game called “Shape the Future of Interreg,” where they used symbolic “Interreg” money (given out at registration) to invest in up to three of six pre-selected priorities.

Responses from 72 citizens were received through two online surveys — the first ran from late May to the end of June 2024, and a repeated survey took place from October to the end of November 2024.

All the responses and suggestions collected during the consultation were brought together in a report. This report was shared and discussed at the 3rd meeting of the Monitoring Committee on 11–12 December 2024 in Riga, Latvia. On 17 December 2024, the report was sent to the European Commission.
