The Administration of Šilutė District Municipality signed a contract for the cleaning of H. Scheu Park ponds on January 24, 2025, and has commenced the cleaning works. The works are being implemented as part of the project “All About Ponds”. The contract duration for the works is six months. The cleaning process involves the removal of overgrown vegetation, reeds, and the excavation and pumping of silt to a designated drying area. Once the ponds are cleaned, they will be replanted with water lilies, irises, and three-leaved water crowfoot, and will also be restocked with fish.
