1day workshop in Biržai for local craftsman

The Weekend in Village project, as part of the Interreg VI-A Latvia-Lithuania Cross Border Cooperation Programme, focuses on enhancing tourism in the Selonia Region by leveraging cross-border exchange of knowledge. Among its pivotal activities is a one-day event in Biržai aimed at empowering local craftsmen and tourism service providers.

This workshop, hosting 10-15 participants from Biržai, will focus on equipping attendees with practical skills and insights on current marketing trends, product improvement, and adaptation strategies to cater to tourists effectively. By engaging local artisans, rural producers, and craftsmen, this activity seeks to foster a supportive community, enhance their confidence, and underscore their integral role within the larger Selonia region’s mastercraft heritage. This collaborative event emphasizes capacity building and innovative product development to create appealing tourism experiences, encouraging longer tourist stays and a more vibrant local economy.
