Daugavpils invites to free Rogaining-masterclass “Orientation Adventure”

Residents of Daugavpils and guests of the city are invited to participate in the free event “Orientation Adventure”, which combines movement, mental challenges and being together in the fresh air. This event is a great opportunity for both beginners and lovers of active recreation and families with children to get acquainted with the basics of Nordic walking, the principles of orienteering and Rogaining – an orienteering sport in which you have to visit as many checkpoints located in nature as possible in a limited time.

The masterclasses are planned for two times, each of which will be evaluated separately:

On July 20, with a gathering at the Daugavpils J.Raiņa Center (former elementary school No. 6)

On October 4, with a gathering at the Daugavpils Design and Art Secondary School “Saules skola” (Saules iela 2).

Event program:
From 11:00 – registration at the meeting point
11:10 – Distribution of Nordic walking equipment
11:30 – 12:00 Nordic walking training
12:00 – 13:00 Orienteering training, distribution of maps and distance planning
13:00 – Rogaining start (control time 2 hours)
15:00 – Finish and awarding

You can participate in the event individually, in teams of 2 to 5 people or as a family with children. Participation is completely free, but we encourage you to register in advance until 17.07 at 23:59
You can only move on foot: walking, running or Nordic walking.

The master class will be led by experienced coaches: Anastasija Smoļakova (orienteering) and Larisa Silova (Nordic walking).
