On November 7th and 8th, 2024, students and pedagogues from the Ludza Primary Music School, along with pedagogues from the Molėtai Art School, participated in joint masterclasses for children’s choir and soloists at the Ludza Primary Music School in Latvia. The event was part of the ongoing activities of the project LL-00146 “Together in Art.”
The program included a seminar “Voice as an Instrument,” practical vocal masterclasses, individual work with children’s voices, and with collectives preparing to participate in the Latvian School Youth Song and Dance Celebration.
Goal: To develop children’s vocal abilities, train the voice, and prepare for high-level performances, emphasizing the importance of the voice as a tool of art.
Methods and activities: Various breathing techniques, singing exercises, principles of ensemble and solo singing.
Interesting forms of work: Creative methods – improvisation, ensemble listening, singing techniques, and stage presence exercises.
Emotional and social benefits: It develops emotional intelligence and helps children strengthen their self-confidence both on stage and in everyday life.
Project context: Part of the project that promotes cultural cooperation between Lithuania and Latvia.
