On April 8, clients of the Specialized Workshops of the Saldus Social Service, together with their employees, visited Lithuania, at the Kretinga Day Activity Center, to participate in the project activity “Friendship Cafe” with Lithuanian colleagues.
Educational classes were organized within the framework of the “Friendship Cafe” – culinary, ceramic and labyrinth therapy classes.
During the culinary class, an apple pie was prepared according to an old Lithuanian recipe. Two large apple pies were donated to charity, the soup kitchen for the poor “Rupesteliai” in Kretinga.
During the labyrinth therapy class, there was an opportunity to walk through the labyrinth located on the territory of the Day Center and then create team labyrinths using various methods. Walking through the labyrinth and putting it together using different techniques, thoughts arose about feelings, everyone had the opportunity to share them, telling what makes each person happy and joyful!
In a pottery class that created harmony, joy, and helped free the mind, participants created vessels from clay.
At the end of the day, everyone participated in fun games and various active games.
