Initial project period – preparation for the large-scale activities

The “MultiMobile” project, a transformative initiative designed to improve access to digital social services for socially vulnerable groups in Livani and Mažeikiai, was launched with an engaging opening event on March 26, 2024, at the Center of Līvānu Glass and Crafts. This event brought together representatives from both the Līvāni County Municipality Administration and the Mažeikiai District Municipality come together. During the ceremony, the municipalities formalized their collaboration by signing a partnership agreement to jointly implement the project.

The primary objective of “MultiMobile” is to enhance the quality and accessibility of social services for residents in remote and rural areas of Līvāni and Mažeikiai by introducing mobile digital services. This will be achieved through the deployment of electric minibuses, each equipped with cutting-edge technology designed to bring essential services closer to those in need.

During the initial period, significant progress has been made. The project commenced with a crucial kick-off meeting that set the foundation for its execution. Detailed technical documentation for the procurement of the electric minibuses has been completed, and the tender process for acquiring these vehicles is now underway.

Looking ahead, during the second period, the project will focus not only on procuring the electric minibuses, but also on the development of methodological guidelines for the new mobile social service and organization of specialized training programs to enhance the skills of social service providers in engagement and communication. The project will also facilitate knowledge exchange among service providers through organized events and will produce informative booklets and presentation videos to raise awareness about the new mobile services.

“MultiMobile” aims to address the challenges faced by residents of remote areas who struggle with limited mobility or access to digital services. By providing fully equipped electric minibuses, the project will bring essential municipal services, social support, notary services, and more directly to the residents of rural communities.
