Aizkraukle County Municipality successfully carried out project deliverable “Installation of floating boat docks In Aizkraukle County” within the activity “Development of recreation areas along border river along Lithuania and Latvia Mēmele (Nemunėlis) and river Dienvidsusēja“.
As a result, five new floating boat docks were established, creating five brand-new boat launching points. This development has significantly enhanced opportunities for water tourism in the region. The introduction of these floating docks has not only made the area more attractive to tourists but has also provided a substantial boost to local entrepreneurs. The floating boat docks have effectively transformed Aizkraukle County rural region into a vibrant hub for water-based activities, fostering economic growth and revitalizing the local economy.
