The Latvia-Lithuania Programme, together with Interreg Estonia-Latvia Programme, Interreg Central Baltic National Contact Point in Latvia and URBACT Contact Point in Latvia invites you to participate in the Interreg Cooperation Day 2025 activities on 16 August in Liepāja, Latvia.
Every year, since 2012, Interreg Cooperation Day is celebrated across Europe to promote the opportunities of Interreg programmes and success stories of Interreg projects to the wider public. However, this year’s celebration is special because we are marking 35 years of Interreg. This anniversary shows how Interreg has helped connect regions and support local development across Europe for decades.
This year, our Interreg Cooperation Day celebration will take place as a part of biggest youth festival of the year. Around 10,000 participants from all over Latvia and abroad are expected to gather in the event, where they will have the opportunity to explore the offerings of various organizations, municipalities, and state institutions, take part in workshops, discussions, and creative activities, attend extreme sports and football competitions, street workout shows, participate in team sports games, and get involved in challenges and street culture activities, among others.
We welcome you to visit our “Interreg 35” information tent, where you will have the opportunity to learn more about Interreg and Interreg projects through various interactive activities. One of them will be an exciting and educational photo-orienteering game through the city of Liepāja, completing a series of tasks along the way.
In our tent, you will have a chance to test luck and knowledge about Latvia-Lithuania Programme’s projects in Liepāja by spinning the Big Wheel of Fortune, embarking on an adventure with Interreg-themed characters in an AI photo booth, and experiencing virtual reality – getting a glimpse of the new digital youth center in Liepāja, which is being developed through our Latvia–Lithuania Programme project “Digital Youth Work”. Information about the youth festivals “Kopums” and “Mad Liepāja” will be available on the Liepāja municipality’s website liepaja.lv, the municipality’s social media accounts @liepajalv, as well as on the Instagram and Facebook profiles of the “Kopums” and “Mad Liepāja” festivals.
Entry to both the festival and Interreg Cooperation Day activities is free of charge.
