Opportunity to rediscover lost cultural heritage

,

Zemgale Planning Region, in collaboration with local municipalities and Lithuanian partners, is implementing the “Reclaimed History” project. Its main goal is to use modern digital solutions to help people explore lost history.

At the end of 2024, two new digital installations were introduced in Jelgava Municipality (Latvia) manors. Lielvircava Manor now features a special digital window — a screen displaying scenes of 19th-century manor life, as well as information about the exhibition halls and historical artifacts. In Lielplatone Manor, digital projections on a piano simulating playing 19th-century music by Franz Liszt, fitting the spirit of the manor.
