An inspiring new photo exhibition, “Life Wisdom in Portraits and Stories,” has been launched to celebrate and amplify the voices of seniors from the Zemgale region of Latvia and neighboring Lithuania. The exhibition is a powerful collection of portrait photography paired with deeply personal stories, showcasing the rich experiences of older adults and proving that age is no barrier to an active and fulfilling life.
Each photograph in the exhibition is accompanied by the senior’s personal life motto, offering a glimpse into their unique perspective. Visitors can use a QR code to access full-length stories, where the seniors share their reflections on health, well-being, and an active lifestyle. Their experiences and wisdom serve as a testament to the idea that a vibrant and active life is possible at any age.
The exhibition was developed as part of the project “Promoting Active and Healthy Ageing,” co-financed by the INTERREG VI-A Latvia – Lithuania Programme 2021-2027. The project’s main goal is to improve social inclusion for seniors and people with disabilities, increase access to services, and support active, conscious, and healthy aging for a longer, independent life in the Latvia-Lithuania border regions.
We invite the public to take advantage of this unique opportunity to visit the exhibition at one of its upcoming locations. This is a chance to connect with the wisdom of our elders, gain new perspectives, and be inspired by their resilience and optimism.
