On August 13–14, 2025, a partner meeting of the international project “Enhancing Social Inclusion and Empowerment of Vulnerable Groups through Integrated and Creative Methodologies” took place at the Šiauliai City Municipality Care Home.
The two-day event brought together specialists from the Šiauliai City Municipality Care Home and the State Social Care Centre “Latgale” (Latvia), along with a professional expert-consultant specializing in methodology development. A total of 12 experts from Lithuania and Latvia actively participated in the creation of a new methodology.
During the meeting, the project’s progress and initial results were presented, and the next steps related to upcoming project activities were discussed. The main focus was on practical work – intensive workshops were held to further develop an integrated and creative social services methodology, aimed at strengthening the social inclusion and empowerment of vulnerable groups.
In expert – led sessions, participants worked on the structure, content, and practical application of the methodology, sharing their professional experiences and insights. As a result of the workshops, a preliminary draft of the methodology was developed, which will serve as a foundation for further testing and implementation.
The draft methodology will be piloted in real-life settings in collaboration with project partners in both Lithuania and Latvia. This piloting phase will help evaluate its effectiveness and practical applicability. Feedback and experience gathered during this stage will be essential for refining the final version of the methodology.
