Theory-Based Training for Rowing Coaches Working with Children with Special Needs in Panevėžys

On March 19–21 2025, Panevėžys hosted a theory-based training event for Latvian and Lithuanian rowing coaches working with children with special educational needs. Over three days, participants explored topics such as sensory integration disorders, behavior modification strategies, and methods for assisting children with developmental challenges. The training included case analyses, practical activities, and a supervised swimming session to observe training adaptations for children with special needs. Experts shared best practices on structuring the environment, selecting appropriate tools, and fostering inclusive sports experiences. The event concluded with discussions and reflections, allowing coaches to exchange insights and improve their approaches to working with vulnerable children.
