Mobile multiservice concept development for socially vulnerable groups in Livani and Mažeikiai

Common territorial challenge (s) that will be tackled by the project

Common challenges that the Project is addressing are social exclusion and poverty of rural residents, marginalization of the disadvantaged members of society. The residents of Latvia and Lithuania, depending on where they live, have different living conditions and opportunities, which partly contradicts the principles of a democratic society.

Project objective

The goal of the project is to create more favorable living conditions by improving the availability of digital social services for people with fewer opportunities and who live in rural area and experience marginalization.

Planned activities

Following activities are planned during implementation of the project: - Creation of methodological guidelines for new mobile social service; - purchase of electric minibuses ir both municipalities; - trainings about cooperation, involvement, communication for social service providers; - organizing experience exchange events; - creation of a presentation video of a new social service; - creation and purchase of presentation materials (leaflets) for publicity and information dissemination purposes.

Project results

During the implementation of the project, long-term results will be created: a new social service will be created and methodological guidelines prepared for the provision of these services. This is a long-term result, because the scale of digitization will only increase and occupy an ever-increasing place in our everyday life, and if we do not ensure the availability of digital social services for all residents of our districts now, then the exclusion will be difficult to overcome later.
Other expected project result is improved and lasting cooperation between project partner organizations.
