On 8th October a project event was held in the hall of the Joniškėlis Manor Palace – training for tourism specialists. 30 participants from Latvian and Lithuanian tourism information centers attended a four-academic hour theoretical and practical course. The training was conducted by an experienced specialist of tourism business, head of UAB “Travel Deli” dr. Vilija Malinauskaitė. The first part discussed the creation and adaptation of a tourist product to different tourist groups. The second part discussed consumer segmentation and product modification options. The lecturer introduced the prepared material, the specialists discussed, shared their experience, problems and achievements. The seminar participants toured the spaces of the Joniškėlis Manor Park, and the created virtual reality program was presented. During the project tourism specialists will meet twice, the next trainings will be organized by Jekabpils county municipality.
