VSIA “Piejūras slimnīca” equips Speech and Communication Therapy Rooms with sensory equipment. The hospital staff has mastered the possibilities of using the equipment and has gradually begun testing the methods of the rehabilitation service of speech and communication therapy. The goal is to reduce stress, improve communication skills, boost self-confidence, and improve quality of life.
Innovations in stress reduction therapy are also gradually being introduced to representatives of various institutions and cooperation partners. The newly created infrastructure has already been evaluated by representatives of Liepaja Social Service.
VSIA “Piejūras slimnīca” continues to implement the Interreg VI-A Latvia-Lithuania programme 2021-2027 project No. LL-00120 “Innovative psychosocial and physical rehabilitation methods for vulnerable people stress overcome towards better social inclusion” (INO INCLUSION)”. The sensory room and therapy equipment for the VSIA “Piejūras slimnīca” are supplied by UAB “Slaugivita” (Lithuania), while speech therapy equipment is provided by SIA “Sentios” (Latvia).
