In the heart of summer, we warmly welcome a new colleague to our team. Donata Pečiukėnienė has joined the Joint Secretariat as a senior expert and will serve as a project manager for projects, supporting beneficiaries throughout project implementation. Donata is an experienced project manager and coordinator with a strong background in European Union (hereinafter – EU) funded programmes, science administration, and public communication. She is passionate about fostering innovation, cross-sectoral cooperation.
Donata holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with qualifications in social pedagogy and psychology from Šiauliai University, a Master’s in Psychology of Law from Mykolas Romeris University (with studies at Örebro University, Sweden), and a Master’s in Management from ISM University of Management and Economics. She has also completed professional studies in Public Relations.
Previously, she coordinated national and international programmes at the Research Council of Lithuania, led the Life Sciences sector at the Innovation Agency, and worked as an innovation manager and science project coordinator at Vilnius University. Donata has a proven track record in managing EU-funded projects (including Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, and national programmes), organizing high-level events, and developing communication strategies for science and innovation ecosystems. Donata is recognised for her expert evaluation of project applications for various EU and national programmes.
Donata believes that international collaboration and innovative projects are key drivers of positive change and sustainable development in Lithuania and the wider European region.
