Dissemination event for the reduction of social exclusion in Pasvalys

The event is intended to present the project “Network of Inclusive Libraries for People of Disadvantaged Social Groups”, INCLUSIVE, its activities and main goals.
Will be presented the first project results and discussed opportunities for strengthening cooperation. Participants will learn about the characteristics and challenges of sensory integration, why it is important for library visitors and learn how different senses influence behavior and well-being. Will be discussed the most important elements which are necessary to create a sensory and easily accessible environment that ensures a safe space for everyone. It will examine how to apply trauma-sensitive strategies in libraries to better understand visitors’ experiences, assess challenges and facilitate communication. We will talk about how to enrich reading with sensations and create a space where a book becomes an experience for all senses.
