Feastival “With Selonia in the heart”

Jēkabpils County Municipality invites everyone to the Tourism Festival in Jēkabpils, taking place on August 16, 2025, at the Jēkabpils History Museum Open-Air Department “Sēļu sēta” (Filozofu Street 6, Jēkabpils).

The festival will feature a rich cultural program with musicians, dance groups, and artists, as well as a lively craftsmen’s and book market. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the results of the ongoing project, meet local tourism service providers and guest house owners, and enjoy a variety of creative and educational activities.

Participation: Free of charge, open to all.

Festival Program
🕙 10:00–17:00

• Craftsmen & Book Market – handmade goods, local products, and unique finds.

• Creative Workshops – candle making, sauna broom binding, and more.

• Children’s Activities – riddle games, orienteering, and fun educational tasks.

• Tourism Information Center Activities – learn about the historical land of Selonia and discover thematic tourism routes across Latvia and Lithuania for families, history lovers, nature enthusiasts, and gourmets.

🎶 Concert Performances

• From 11:00 – Folklore groups “Dignōjiši”, “Rati”, “Vīraksne”, chapel “Digna”

• 12:00 – Post-folklore group “RIKŠI”

• From 13:00 – Ensemble “Minima”, folk dance groups “Delveri”, “Zīlānietis”, dance studios “Daugava”, “Vēja roze”, “Inda”, and soloists

• From 15:30 – Performances by cultural societies “Rodacy”, “Rodnik”, “Spakane”, “Barina”, “Javir”

This event will become a new annual tourism tradition in Jēkabpils, offering a vibrant celebration of Selonia’s culture, traditions, and hospitality.
