From October visitors are invited to visit Garsene and to try a new digital tourism product – the audio guide route “Discover Garsene!”. The audio guide route was created near Garsene Castle and nature trails within the “Reclaimed history” project. It includes 20 points where you can stop and listen more about the history of Garsene Manor and the activities of local residents by scanning the QR code.
Check out Garsene Castle and learn more about its architecture, maybe you will notice the kind ghost of the castle – the Blue Lady! Sit in Baron’s chair and visit Love Island. Perhaps you want to take a selfie at the big stone “Lutauši”?
The route is digitally available in the mobile application izi.Travel in Latvian, English, Lithuanian and German languages. In turn, a printed route map can be obtained at the information point of Garsene Castle or the tourist information centre of Jēkabpils municipality. The route is friendly to both pedestrians and cyclists. It is approximately 4.5 km long and requires at least two hours.
