The 2nd Call for Proposals opens on 2 April

The Interreg VI-A Latvia–Lithuania Programme 2021–2027 will open its Second Call for Proposals at 9:00 on 2 April 2024. The Call will be closed at 17:00 on 21 June 2024.

Submission of applications:

  • Deadline: 17:00 on 21 June 2024.
  • Applications must be submitted via JEMS on https://jems.latlit.eu. Please note that JEMS will commence operations only after the call opens, at 9:00 on 2 April 2024.

Programme Area

The Programme area includes Kurzeme, Latgale and Zemgale regions in Latvia and Klaipėda, Telšiai, Šiauliai, Panevėžys and Utena counties in Lithuania.

Project Partners

The eligible project partners must be registered legal entities that are national, regional or local public institutions, public equivalent bodies or non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

Each project must include at least one Latvian and one Lithuanian project partner. One of the project partners must be appointed as the Lead Partner.

ERDF Co-financing and Total Project Budget

Programme is co-funded by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). 42 421 961,00 EUR from the ERDF is allocated for projects for the whole programming period.

For the 2nd Call 27 659 980 EUR are available.

The Programme co-finances 80% of the total eligible project costs and the project partners’ own contribution must be 20% of the total eligible project costs.

Please note there are additional limitations to the project budget size if the Lead Partner is an NGO:

  • Total project ERDF ≤200 000 EUR:
    • Lead Partner’s cumulative revenue of the last two financial years (2021, 2022) or from the date of its establishment (if the NGO was established later) must be at least 25% of the intended ERDF co-financing of the Lead Partner’s budget.
  • Total project ERDF >200 000 EUR:
    • Lead Partner organization must be established no later than in 2021, and
    • Lead Partner cumulative revenue of the last two financial years (2021, 2022) must be at least 50% of the intended ERDF co-financing of the total project budget.

Project Duration

The maximum project duration is 24 months.

Support for Applicants

The Joint Secretariat will organise support events for potential applicants in May 2024. Precise dates and registration information will be published on the Programme website later.

The Joint Secretariat will also organize individual consultations for applicants during the Call’s duration. However, please note that we will not be able to assess your application at the project development stage.
