Welcome our three new team members

Advancing on the path of growth and strengthened cooperation between Latvia and Lithuania for the 2021-2027 period, we are thrilled to introduce new team members who have recently joined our Joint Secretariat.

Ieva Lapiņa, Project Manager.

Ieva is experienced expert working with EU projects implementation for more than decade. She believes that supported projects will bring positive changes even beyond the Latvia-Lithuania border, making the EU stronger!

Ieva studied European Affairs at Latvian University and has more than 15 years of EU funds experience at different public institutions.

For the last years she worked at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development with finance and certification matters for Latvia-Lithuania Programme (2014-2020), but in the past she has experience also in EU funds matters and mainstream Programmes with infrastructure projects.

Andrejs Krjukovs, Project Manager.

Andrejs is a highly skilled professional fluent in English, Latvian, and Lithuanian, stands ready to assist applicants and project beneficiaries on their journey. He aspires to inspire and be inspired by various projects and ideas that will foster enduring connections among our communities.

Andrejs holds a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from Canterbury Christ Church University and a Bachelor in Teaching from the University of Latvia. He has been actively engaged in European youth work for the past four years.

Previously, he served as a history teacher in schools in Riga and Jurmala, Latvia. He then returned to Scotland to pursue his Master degree in Eastern European Studies at the University of Glasgow.

Jeļizaveta Šibatovska, Information Manager.

Jelizaveta is excited to continue her professional path as a member of the Interreg family. She is eager to contribute to the publicity of the Programme and its projects, showcasing the transformative power and impact of cross-border cooperation!

Jelizaveta holds a Bachelor of Economics in International Economic Affairs from the University of Latvia. She enhanced her communication skills through Public Relations studies at the College of Business Administration and Google-certified Digital Marketing and E-Commerce course.

For the past 5 years Jelizaveta served as an Information Manager in the External cross-border cooperation programme at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development. Previously, she worked as a project developer and implementer for various EU co-funded programmes in the interior field.
